Your computer must have Japanese System Supported before you can play this game and type the japanese characters. If your computer doesn't support Japanese Language, you may add the japanese language support under control panel if your using Windows. Ask your system administrator to enable the Japanese Language support in your Operating System. After you successfully added the japanese language support, you will see a small icon on the system tray located at the bottom right of your screen, see IME icon.
How to answer:
Click the field stated "Type here>>" and type your answer in hiragana. After you type the japanese alphabet character, you need to press ENTER key twice in order to validate your answer. This game is very simple to play if you're computer supported with Japanese language. For example if you're typing hiragana
is very simple. Assuming your keyboard is in japanese mode, simply type "a" or "A" then press ENTER key twice. Same thing if you type hiragana
as you would type "ka" then press ENTER key twice.

Add A CommentExcellent japanese typing game. it really helps for me. Perfect game to learn katakana alphabet. arigatou gozaimasu. gambatte kudasai!
Very good idea. It´s really, really very helpful. Cugi wo kudasai! Itchiban ii nantoka kanji!
(hope you understand...)
:)
This is fab. Just starting out to learn the language after hosting Japanese students. The first thing that anyone should do to learn this amazing language, is to recognise the symbols.
Why Does It say i am not doing it right, I am typing in all the characters and i know I am right, considering i am just doing this for fun since i have taking 4 years of japanese. i am typing them in as i know them to be and it isn't working and its pissing me off. why isn't it working??
This has helped me learn the hiragana. There does seem to be a bug though - the syllable "a" shows up twice, but will only tell me I got it right once and then at the end, it says I missed "i" (which never shows up).
is this just on my computer or r there 2 a's and no i's?
I am certain the character show is an A but it insists that it's in I. Must be sumthin wrong with it. =( Otherwise pretty cool game.
Hey fart boys this is a cool game exept its blimmen hard
PEACE OUT
GOONERISH
Hey this is a really fun game and its challenging 2!!
My students loved this!! I would like to see you add a higher level where the ga, gu, go and the kya, kyu, kyo are added! Nice job.
It is a good game but a pain in the butt all the same. All in all a good game. ;)
for some reason i cannot use the "press enter twice" to validate my answer after i typed the hiragana character....
i have no problem using the japanese input system at all
Thanks for the amazing game - it learned me hiragana in a jiffy...
Mind you that there is a minor error, the "i" is displayed as a "a"...
But never mind - great way to learn it!
yes, there deffinately a problem with the A hiragana, it insists it is an I.
i think something is wrong
the i on the left side of the screen is an a
fu should be changed so u can either fu or hu to spell correctly and i on the left in showed as a
i´t a great game but i know the i is like this: い n the a is: あ u made a lil´mistake anyway nobody´s perfect but i guess u should correct it
For some reason, the flakes don't disappear when I putting in the right romaji for each hira character.
well, i'm just a beginner, but let me say that i had a good time with this. it makes it a lot more intresting in the learning process. I give it a two tumbs up.
yay! love it! thank you =)
neither of these games are working for me- this and the katakana one. I type the symbols in the space, press enter twice, but there's no reaction. I know I'm typing them right, and I have the Japanese characters enabled on my computer, but the game doesn't react at all. It just says I'm missing the answers. Is this problem just me?
